Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Punjab envisaged a vision to introduce and strengthen e-Governance in Information and Public Relation Institutions (IPRIs) across the State and build associated capacities of the IPRIs for effective adoption of the e-Governance initiative. It aims to make effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in various activities related to Information and Digital Broadcasting. The fundamental focus of the Department is to minimize the manual way of working by leveraging ICT and to bring in efficiency and transparency in the existing processes/services. The Department aims to shift from Governance to e-Governance and m-Governance.
Major benefits of the Solution are: -
• Elimination of tedious and time-consuming manual efforts in cutting and pasting the news clips by PROs/ APROs and thereafter preparing the Summary report on daily basis
• 100% Paperless system
• Automatic generation of Daily Summary Report by system for CMO, Department HODs, and District Collectors.
• Online mechanism for seeking clarification and response from a department/ district with respect to news published for CMO
• Strong Analytical BI Dashboard for News and Sentiment Analysis.
In addition, PROs/ APROs can moderate the news feeds (RSS Feeds) from different online sources which are also captured in real-time and filtered using UiPath RPA (Bots) by the system for moderation by all PROs/ APROs.
All the captured and moderated news for the day can be accessible in real-time to all stakeholders i.e. PROs/ APROs, Departmental HODs and Nodal Officers, District Collector and Nodal Officers and Chief Minister’s Officer (CMO).
