The Fortress of the Muslim book from
The merits of remembrance
God said:
(So remember Me, I will remember you, and be grateful to Me, and do not disbelieve)
(O you who believe, remember God often)
(And those who remember God often, God has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward)
(And remember your Lord within yourself in supplication and fear, and without speaking out loud, in the morning and in the evening, and do not be deaf.)
And he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember his Lord is like the living and the dead.”
And he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Shall I not inform you of the best of your deeds, the purest of them with your Lord, the highest in your ranks, and better for you than spending gold and paper, and better for you than meeting your enemy so that you strike their necks and they strike your necks?” They said, "Yes." He said: "Remembrance of God Almighty."
And he said, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “God Almighty says: I am as My servant thinks of me, and I am with him when he remembers me. To me an arm's length I came close to him by length, and if he came to me walking, I would come to him jogging.”
On the authority of Abdullah bin Busr, may God be pleased with him, that a man said: O Messenger of God, the laws of Islam have become too numerous for me, so tell me something that I will cling to. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Your tongue remains moist from the remembrance of God.”
And he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of God, he will have a good deed for it, and a good deed is ten times as much. I do not say: (Alif) is a letter, but: Alif is a letter, and Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.”
On the authority of Uqbah bin Aamer, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came out while we were in the rank and said: “Which of you would like to go to the Bathan or to the Al-Aqiq every day and bring two she-camels, piled high, without sin or severing ties of kinship?” We said: O Messenger of God, we love that. He said: “Should not one of you go to the mosque and learn, or recite two verses from the Book of God Almighty, that is better for him than two she-camels, and three are better for him than three, and four are better for him than four, and their numbers of camels?” And he, peace be upon him, said: “Whoever sits A seat in which God was not mentioned, he would be spared from God, and whoever lies down in a bed in which God has not been mentioned, God will be spared him.”
And he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “No people sit in an assembly in which they do not mention God, and do not pray for their Prophet except that they are obligated to pay them, and if he wills he will punish them and if he wills he will forgive them.”
And he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “There are no people who rise from a gathering in which they do not remember God but that they rise from the like of the carcass of a donkey, and it will be a heartbreak for them.
