Start by drawing the anime eyes with a long curve. This will form
the upper part of the anime eye. Then, draw another curve, shorter than the
first one and on the opposite side to the first. This will be the lower part of
the eye. At both ends of the curves, draw two curves that are slightly curved
and touching the ends of the first curves. Ensure that the top curve is thicker
than the bottom.
Make a big circle with a different color pointing towards your subject’s (anime) line of vision. Make
another smaller circle at the bottom corner of the eye. Basically, make the top
shine larger than the one at the bottom. If you like, you can add effects like
dots and spots on the eye.
Drawing eyelashes: Ensure the lashes are pointing in the opposite direction to the eye.
For example, if you are drawing the right eye, draw the eyelashes to point
towards the left, if it’s the left eye, eyelashes go right. Anime eyes are
usually emboldened. Try to make the anime eyes to be less feathery compared to
the actual eyes. Additional smaller eyelashes on the bottom curve can be added
as an option.
Draw a thin line that will be above the thicker curve that you drew first. The line
should be just slightly above, forming the drawing anime’s eye socket and adds
depth to the anime eyes.
Finally, add some shading to the anime eyes. The shading should be done from top to bottom
and also the gradient should be from darker to lighter. To draw the pupil of
the anime eyes, shade the darker circle that is in the middle of the anime eye.
