Brown University is the seventh-oldest research institution of higher education in the country of United States. It is a private university established in Providence, Rhode Island in 1764. It is part of the Ivy League and was the first institution to accept admissions without giving importance to any affiliations to religion. The university is known for providing excellent courses in English language and literature, economics and econometrics, and development studies.
