The World Non-Formal Education Forum is an international platform convened by World Scouting in partnership with more than 30 leading international organisations, youth organisations and UN entities working on non-formal education and youth development.
Taking place from 9-11 December 2019, the Forum features several key events, including the 3rd World Scout Education Congress and the Global Symposium on Non-Formal Education and the SDGs which is being co-organised with UNICEF, UNFPA and the Office of the UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth.
Over the course of three days, the Forum aims to address the joint challenges facing the sector and build more support and recognition around the role of non-formal education in the global education agenda.
The Forum will be attended by nearly 400 participants including civil society representatives, UN and partner agencies, academics, government representatives, young people, members from across the Scout Movement, and experts on youth development.
