"The most important places on a map are the places we haven't been yet"

Most people feel the attraction of filling in the blanks on their personal map of places they have visited. Now there is an Android app that makes this map explicit.
How does it work?
Trailblazer offers a totally unique way for users to explore the world around them. It does this by dividing the map into sectors which can either be ‘discovered’ or ‘undiscovered’. The size of these sectors depends on the selected area and difficulty level.
Areas contain Points-Of-Interest that can be uncovered by visiting them. Where sectors can be collected simply by having the tracker running in the background, POI must be collected actively.
• Automatic background tracking of discovered sectors
• Over 1 million areas to choose from worldwide, most playable at 4 difficulty levels
• Over 10 million Points-Of-Interest (POI) to collect
• POI and area achievements
• Can be used without internet connection with minimum degradation in functionality (for instance while hiking)
• Privacy proof: location data never leaves the user’s phone except when exporting backups
• Extensive backup support, backups can be exported to Google Drive
• Easy sharing of map progress and achievements on social media
