Dealing
Kitti is a card game played with a standard 52-card deck played by up to five players. Everyone pays a stake to the pot and nine cards are dealt to each player. Dealer changes each round in clockwise direction.
Hand Rankings
1. Prail (trial in Nepal) – three of a kind
2. Running flush – three consecutive cards of same suit
3. Run – three consecutive cards
4. Flush – three card of same suit
5. Pair
6. High Card
Automatic wins
If you have any four of a kind, you win the hand immediately. If another player also has four of a kind, the player with the higher four of a kind wins. If you have four pairs you can “save the game” in which case user adds another stake to the pool and card are redealt.
Play
Organize your nine cards into three-card hands called “brags.” Beginning with the player to the dealer's left, players reveal their best brag. The player with the highest brag wins the hand. Players reveal their second and third brags in the same way, starting with the player who won the previous hand. If you win two consecutive hands, you win the pot. If you win all three hands, you win the pot and a stake amount from all players. It is called Salaami (In Nepal). Otherwise the pot carries over into the next round. If you have no chance of winning the game you can call “Fold”.
