Updated food database
The Changi General hospital (CGH) Diabetes Diary app is created to empower motivated Singaporeans with Type 1 diabetes mellitus, Type 2 diabetes mellitus and Gestational diabetes mellitus.
The CGH Diabetes Diary helps you keep your blood sugar levels within good control by allowing you to record and track your blood glucose levels on your smartphone, understand the carbohydrate content of your meals (including local fare) better and easily log your meals and exercise.
Your glucose trends, food log and notes can be exported to be saved and printed, or easily and instantly shared electronically with your diabetes care team.
If you have Type 1 diabetes mellitus, the Insulin Bolus Advisor function of the app advises you on how much bolus insulin you should give when you enter your blood glucose and the food you are going to have for the meal. If you are planning to exercise within an hour of the insulin injection, the insulin bolus calculator aids you in recommending a reduced dose of bolus insulin according to your weight, the duration of exercise, and the type of exercise you are planning to do.
App features include:
1. Insulin bolus advisor
2. Blood glucose diary
3. Food reference and resource, including local Singapore fare
4. Viewable logbook
5. Viewable day-on-day glucose overlays with the option to select which days to display
6. Exportable logbook that can be saved and printed or electronically shared with your care provider
Poorly controlled diabetes is associated with serious diseases such as kidney disease, visual impairment, poor circulation and high risk of lower limb amputations. Take control of your diabetes now with the CGH Diabetes Diary.
