General optimizations and improvements
myInfoBand® is a mobile application available on any mobile devices, that allows to upload your personal and medical data to provide emergency health workers with information about any conditions you may have or other concerns that may be relevant to your care. Through a bracelet with QR code for identification, myInfoBand® give instant access to all the necessary information about the owner, customized for different users (paramedics or general public).
Paramedical and medical staff from health system needs to know information about the patient as detailed as possible and as fast as possible. In many cases, especially in emergency situations, the patient is unconscious or incoherent, relatives or friends are not always present or they do not really know many information about the person. This situation could create a major risk of medical interventions that, in the absence of critical information (allergies, acute / chronic diseases, current medication, implants, tests, etc.) could lead to wrong treatments and interventions and the patient’s health might be affected.
Recent crises towards all healthcare system (including overcrowding of UPU and ATI departments in hospitals due to COVID19) have revealed that the medical staff needs a quick and a facile access to personal information and medical data history (other acute, chronic pathologies etc.) of people often in situation where they can’t communicate (oxygen therapy, intubation, unconsciousness, inconsistency etc.).
We created a software application running on any mobile devices - “myInfoBand®”- that allows to upload identification, contact information and medical data in your personal account and in case of an emergency (medical emergencies, accidents, loss, etc.) the paramedics / medical staff can access all the necessary information to give you the right treatment. The bracelet is made out of silicone and it has engraved a dynamic QR code on a metal / plastic plate.
The personal and medical data necessary in case of an emergency (medical emergencies, accidents, loss, etc.) will be uploaded by customers / bracelet owners and can be accessed via mobile application and support device – silicone bracelet engraved on a metal / plastic plate with a dynamic QR code. The owner can grant access to family doctors or other organizations to upload or make data corrections in his/her profile.
The ecosystem will be developed with new functionalities which includes: alerts and notifications for screenings, prevention, ensuring compliance with therapies / treatments, automatically alerting the contacts in case if the medical staff is scanning the bracelet (indicating a medical emergency), travel mode and creation of medical risk profiles etc.
