One of the oldest weekly in the Indian subcontinent published in Urdu language, Al Badr was initiated on October 31, 1902 in Qadian, India. The founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, The Promised Messiah (as) named it Al Badr. Later the name changed to Badr. It was regularly published until December 1913. In 1953 it was relaunched.
