SpeedWords Spelling is a simple, fun game designed to help students learn to spell common words, including the National Curriculum lists for years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Players compete against the clock to spell words. They have to reach a certain speed to unlock the next level.
The scores and progress of up to fourteen players can be stored on a single device, making it ideal for classroom use. Pupils can compare their scores and so compete against each other.
This game is not designed to teach the students how to spell the words, but the repetition needed to complete the game will help them learn them.
There are four different spelling lists. List one is the National Curriculum list for years 3 and 4. List two covers years 5 and 6. Lists three and four cover common words and spelling patterns.
