Some Rules to Follow for RummyPro’s Classic Rummy Gameplay -
1. The objective of Rummy is to arrange 13 cards into valid Sequences and/or Sets, and be the first to call a Finish.
2. Each player is dealt 13 cards. Additionally, there are 2 decks from which each player can draw a card. Once a player draws a card, he has to discard one card. A player can draw from either the closed deck or the open deck.
3. A sequence consists of three or more cards of the same suit in order.
4. Sets are a group of 3 or 4 cards with the same rank but different suits.
5. A Joker card is selected at the start of every game. It can be used in place of any other card.
6. A Pure Sequence is a sequence without jokers.
7. Impure Sequence are sequences that can contain jokers.
8. One or more Jokers can be used for completing sequences and sets.
9. It’s compulsory to have two sequences to finish a classic rummy game. Out of 2, one should be a pure sequence.
10. Sets are not valid until you have a Pure Sequence and Impure Sequence.
