*This release fixes a ton of bugs and addresses usability issues.
*Most importantly the game now scales to bigger resolution screens.
1080x1920 like Note3, S4 == OK
720x1280 like HTC, GS3 == OK
480x800 like old Desire should still work.
*The controls have been refined to make them more stable. Jitter fixed on Tap&Hold.
*Fixed a bug that allowed a lucky one shot boss kill! Now you have to kill it for real.
*New content is on the way – New playable characters, new maps, better AI.
You are Cogs the robot, sent to the Cyber Planet to retrieve a piece of technology that can win a war. Fight robot enemies and collect what you need to unlock the path ahead. Can you learn how to survive on the Cyber Planet and if you do who will you decide to give the Gestalt Mind technology to in the end?
The game is a multi-layer 2D physics environment. There are many objects that you can interact with and even pick up and use later. Some times you will need to kill an enemy and other times you will need to explore and find items to move ahead.
The game play uses the whole screen as a control surface in combination with hardware buttons. Optionally a screen overlay may be used as a substitute for buttons. In settings the option to use cheats is given for those who just can't help themselves.

**When I wrote this game phones were a lot smaller. Originally targeted to a 480x800 1GHz device Robot Planet was not handling big brutes like the huge Galaxy Note 3 well. I have now done a major re-write of the game to scale it to high resolution screens and behave in a more stable way. Take a fresh look at Robot Planet – you will be able to see it much better at its proper size.
**The controls are not a traditional game pad overlay like so many other games. Robot Planet uses the whole screen as a control surface. Since the re-write it behaves itself in a smoother and easy to use way. If you are having a hard time getting it then read below:
*To move left - touch the screen anywhere to the left of the character and swipe left.
*To move right - touch the screen anywhere to the right of the character and swipe right.
*To jump – double tap on the character. You can triple tap to jump higher, and tap 4 times to max it out.
*To turn into a truck you can tap&hold on the character to bring up a menu.
*If you want faster access to the conversion or jumping you can select the on screen overlay for those functions. This places buttons on the screen.
*In places where you must swim, moving the phone will move you! It uses the phones motion sensors.
*Any time you want to select an item from you inventory just hit the hardware menu key ( alternately you can also tap&hold the character or hit the on screen menu key ).
*To interact with things around you just stand near them and bring up the menu.
The game gets cooler the deeper you get. There are power-ups, but getting them can involve a bit of thinking. There are many hidden object that can make things a LOT easier too. Just look for clues.
One last thing, Thank You to all those who have given Robot Planet a good rating. I deeply appreciate – it means a lot to me. This game is a very personal work of art that comes from my life long passion for robots that turn into other stuff. There are hundreds of images here crafted one pixel at a time and a huge amount of code. Seeing those stars go towards 5 makes me feel so happy it energises me to do better. YOU are AWESOME!
