PNLK is a tetris from panel housing blocks of Russian and ex-USSR cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Pripyat, Tashkent and others.
The spirit of Russia is not only domes, balalaikas and matryoshkas, but also “Panelki” - standardized buildings made with prefab concrete panels, which are found in great numbers all over the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
Standard tetromino figures in PNLK consist of 3d blocks with various windows and balconies, it makes a player not just want to complete a line, but also to place blocks perfectly, to make the real looking building. Cities and its architecture changes on each level.
Players need to gain 3000 points to go to the next level. The game continues with the constant speed, leaving the player time to chill, feel nostalgic for 90s, reminisce about childhood, and feel the spirit of Russia. The “soviet-wave” style soundtrack was composed by the band "Naukograd".
The game was created by a small group of developers, and is available for free for smartphones and browsers.
