Neev is a parental control app lets you setup separate pattern locks for you and for your kid(s) on YOUR phone. Your kid(s) enter a separate kids zone or child mode when they unlock YOUR phone using their pattern. You can control what apps they access, how much screen time they are allowed and, optionally, setup star rewards for completing their daily chores. Kid(s) can trade their star rewards for additional screen time. Detailed usage dashboard shows upto 90 day screen time trends for not just your kid(s) but also for your phone usage. Benchmark your and your kid(s) usage against other parents and other kid(s) using this app.
The strength of Neev lies in the fact is it enables a highly secure kids mode and provides a very easy way to child-proof your phone by creating a separate kids profile behind a multi-user pattern lock which acts like a child lock.
Enable Parental Controls and create Kids mode through a very quick setup process:
- Provide the necessary permissions to the app so that it can implement access restrictions for your kid(s)
- Choose a new unlock pattern for admin (YOU) which you would use to unlock the phone and use it normally
- Create profile for your kid(s) and choose an unlock pattern (typically your existing android security pattern), allowed screen time limit and allowed apps
- Optionally setup star rewards for your kid(s) which they earn on completion of selected daily chores. These star rewards are trade-able for more screen time
How does the app work?
After setup, every time you wake up the phone, the Neev pattern lock pops up where you will have to enter the unlock pattern. If the admin unlock pattern is entered, the phone can be used normally as before. However, if the kid unlock pattern is entered, the phone enters a kids zone or a child mode with only the allowed apps listed and usage time tracked. Once the kid exhausts their screen time, phone locks automatically and does not allow kid(s) to access any other apps for the day.

1. Create profiles for multiple kids, each with their own settings
2. Display a countdown timer in the kid(s) profile to show how much screen time is left for the day
3. Show detailed usage trends for Kids as well as parents (admin user) and show a comparison with average benchmark of other users
4. No change in home launcher required. Easy to setup and very easy to use
5. The lock screen is very tough to escape from - even after phone restart, the lock screen pops up again.
