The Blended Clinical Training (BCT)– Learning Management System (LMS) application provides course material and assessments to be completed online.
The objectives of the Blended Clinical Training under the National Aids Control Organization is to encourage self-learning amongst the healthcare staff working under the National AIDS Control Program (NACPand enable them to learn at )their own convenient time and pace. The courses are intended to update the healthcare staff working in ICTC, ART, Lab Services Division under the NACP, with the latest technical and operational guidelines, quality documentation and reporting. Through this activity, NACO hopes to improve the quality of services provided to PLHIV and improve their quality of life in the long run.
TheBCT program aims to bridge the Critical Gaps in quality of India’s HIV prevention-to-treatment continuum, which basically include: (1) linkage loss between positive detection to ART registration; (2) Retention of clients ART; (3) Knowledge, Skill, Infrastructure and Human Resource gaps at the HIV service facilities; (4) Inadequate redressal of several community and patient level concerns to reduce vulnerability and improve the quality of life of among PLHIV; and (5) Need for both induction andongoing capacity building efforts to meet the program requirements and adapt to the new developments in HIV.
Multiple online courses may be scheduled to a participant on BCT-LMS. A Dashboard display lists all the training courses scheduled to them and a participant can select the course they want to do.
To starta training course, each participant must first attempt a Pre-Assessment. Having completed the Pre-Assessment, the participant will be presented multiple lessons constituting the training course and the associated assessments.
Each lesson in the course can have multiple audio-visual content that the participant must watch / read / download. The different formats of content material are:
Video – you can view them in the LMS player “mPlayer”
PDF Files – you can view them in the LMS player “mPlayer
For each lesson, there will be a lesson assessment which a participant must also complete.At the end of the course, after completing all the lessons – content and assessments, the participant has to undertake a Post-Assessment. The participate will be able to generate a certificate after completion of the Post-Assessment.
Each assessment , lesson, post assessment will have a set of questions which the participant has to answer. One question from the set of questions in the assessment will be displayed at a time. The questions will be of Multiple-Choice answers, True / False or Fill in the Blanks.
At the end of the Assessment, by clicking on the FINISH button the participant will be able to submit their answers for evaluation.
Once the participant has watched / read all course content and passed all lesson and post assessments, the participant will be able to generate a certificate.
