Disabled badge on a wheelchair on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
A disabled parking badge allows the vehicle to be parked in places designated for the disabled and in places where parking is not permitted, as long as the parking does not interfere with traffic.
The eligible owner receives a hard parking badge, which must be attached to the windshield of the vehicle when parking, in a way that will allow it to be clearly seen.
One parking tag can be associated with two vehicles, if both are used for disabled travel, even if the vehicles are not owned by the disabled.
The parking tag does not carry the vehicle numbers on it. In case of change or update of the vehicles associated with the tag, there is no need to wait for a new tag, the existing tag should continue to be used.
If your application for a disabled parking badge has been approved, but the badge has not yet arrived, you can park in the parking lot marked in blue and white or in the parking lot marked as disabled, provided you have checked that the vehicle number appears in the Licensing Authority database. The database is updated on a daily basis.
A parking badge will be given permanently or for a temporary period depending on the medical condition of the eligible holder: periods of one, two or three years.
The Israeli disability badge is not officially recognized outside Israel's borders. However, in some countries it is customary to recognize the tag. It is recommended to check before leaving the country.
A case for the disabled parking badge adapted to the new plastic card is available (for a fee). The case attaches easily to the car windshield, is simple and easy to use and is adapted to withstand the changing climatic conditions. The holster is available at Israel Post branches.
Before submitting an application for a disabled parking badge, you must check the eligibility conditions according to the sections below, and attach approvals accordingly.
