Check In Qld is a free digital COVID-19 contact register system.
The system, developed by the Queensland Government's Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy is a secure and convenient way for venue operators and patrons to easily register their attendance at relevant venues or events. If required, personal information collected by the app is provided to authorised Public Health Officers within Queensland Health and the Hospital and Health Services (collectively ‘Queensland Health') for contact tracing or a purpose relating to contact tracing only.
This app is provided at no cost to Queensland venues and event operators and the public, as part of Queensland Government’s commitment to assist businesses and organisations meet their obligations under COVID-19 public health directions.
Key features:
· Venue operators may register for a unique QR code or multiple codes for multi-function venues;
· Patrons can scan venue QR codes to register their attendance at the venue;
· Attendance data is recorded for the purposes of contact tracing, should it be required by Queensland Health;
· You can optionally store your COVID-19 digital certificate securely within the app. At venues where you are required to show vaccination status, it is quick and easy to present your proof of vaccination to assist with contact tracing if needed;
· Records are stored securely for a maximum of 56 days and then deleted;
· Records are accessible to authorised Public Health Officers for contact tracing purpose should a positive COVID-19 case be identified; and
· Permissions to use device camera.
