Agri Innovation Hub has a Facebook page with a farmers following of 4606 that brings awareness to farmers on simple innovative agricultural products using the power of social media. Agri Hub Soko will locate, retrieve data on farm and expected harvest, aggregate small scale potato produce, partner with transportation companies to provide transport at affordable rates. This will significantly reduce losses and perish-ability of their fresh produces. Secondly by selling directly to organizations in time cut out intermediaries (brokers) and providing farmers with greater certainty and high returns. This raise farm-gate prices for potatoes, increase potato farmers income and reduce prices of potatoes in both rural and urban areas. Youth and women employment will be created in the aggregation centers in all the 47 counties as they will be grading, loading, collecting data and running the county offices.
