The International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) is a knowledge-based platform specifically focusing on renewable energy and energy efficiency. The ISES is organized by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (‘the Authority’) Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC). The summit typically spans over two days and has two key components: the conference (knowledge) and business interactions via mini exhibition and business matching session.
The ISES is a biennial event mooted as part of the Authority’s official platform for insights on sustainable energy to be discussed and exchanged among thought leaders in this fraternity and also an avenue for networking among key stakeholders such as the industry players from renewable energy, energy efficiency, power utilities, and financial sectors, relevant government bodies, and academia encompassing local to international communities.
With the theme of Empowering Energy Transition, the 5th ISES 2018 will deepdive into specific mainstream renewable energy (RE) technologies such as solar photovoltaic (PV), hydropower, bioenergy and address existential issues such as integrating high variable REs in the grid, green financing and promoting energy efficient buildings through low carbon and the concept of Zero Energy Buildings.
