ZwakalaRide is an app designed to connect customers with drivers from various transporters by offering e-hailing as a service.
Transporters/associations can then offer e-hailing service without incurring technology costs. Supported transporters include:
- Metered taxis service,
- Scooter/Food delivery services and
- Parcel/Logistics/Goods delivery services.
As a multi-vendor solution,
ZwakalaRide will show prices from various transporters operating on the selected pickup area. This allows
Customers to select or exclude transporters based on preference, performance or affordability.
ZwakalaRide is funded through a service fee of
8 percent of fares and separately a booking fee calculated
2.00 ZAR to
3 percent of fares costs. Booking fees are charged directly from customers and collected through driver's coupons.
