zBowling is a single/multiplayer game and conceptually similar to bowling, but here the player(s) need to balance the ball, avoid holes and gutters to hit the pins and score. This game can be played on single mobile device or nearby multiple devices using Bluetooth connection. Playing this game is very straight forward; need choose one of the three (single player, two players in one device, two players with different devices) options. First two options are straightforward, touch the screen and get the control of the ball and start playing. For the third option, players need to enable Bluetooth and establish connectivity between devices either directly or by pairing.
There are 10 frames, 10 pins in each frame with 2 balls to hit pins, one score point for each pin hit and first ball strike will add 20 bonus points. Pins positioning are different for each frame and holes are positioned at random locations and beware of ball movement changes based on the rough and smooth surface. For multiple players using Bluetooth, first enable Bluetooth on both the devices and select device using options (icons) provided in title bar and if the device is not discovered, use the default Bluetooth settings to pair the devices and then select the pair from the title bar options in play screen of this app. Initially thought of making this as an online game using Firebase, after analysing and sizing the data transfer, found not suitable for free game app, also tried with WIFI-Direct and finally settled with Bluetooth for communication between devices.
This is an offline game and has been built using AccelerometerPlay and BluetoothChat sample code available with modifications.
