Updated to display the notification in the notification tray, PLEASE NOTE you might have to switch the NOTIFICATION CATEGORIES on and off again, it will always make a sound if you do not do that. It is annoying to have something tell you every 2, 5, 10 or more minutes that the weather has updated. It's an Android O Bug apparently, seems to work on Android N. Tested on Galaxy S7 & Pixel XL.
If you get error messages after updating, please uninstall the app & reinstall it. It should work then.
UPDATE : Please uninstall and re-install Weather Live-Ish as it has loads of errors when you update via the play store, which I am looking into. It worked great on the Virtual Phone on my PC but not when I updated it through the Play Store, the notification icon doesn't appear on my phone. I am looking into it.
I have created an app that reads the clientraw.txt file from Weather Display and it displays the temperature in the status bar, there is a set-up screen where you should set-up your website URL, so all you need to do is type in www.yoursitename.com and select "weather" it is http:// or https://, get it, weather instead of whether... (groan).
Then you need to select your preferred temperatures, rain, baro and wind settings. So for example, if your weather station (Weather Display) uses Fahrenheit then select Fahrenheit. You must also select how often you would like the app to retrieve the current details from WD, so you can select 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60-minute increment updates. If you have lollipop installed (Android version 5) you will see that the notification is displayed in the lock screen. The disable the notification (in settings), disables the notification if you wish. The main purpose of this app is to display the temperature in the notification.
You can use the widget too. This was created for android version Kit Kat and above. This was created for a university project. This doesn't use up the battery and hardly uses up bandwidth. There is also a Widget and it is simple and plain. Please note that this was created as part of a uni project in which I will get marked on.
