First release of 4 tigers and 20 goats board game with hints.
This is one of the variations of tigers and goats board game popular in villages since ancient times in India and Nepal. In this variation there are 4 tigers and 20 goats. Tigers are already on the board so goats move first. All 20 goats have be placed on the board before they can move. Tiger can kill a goat by jumping over a goat like in checkers. Goats win if all tigers are encircled by goats and none can move. It is unlikely that all 4 tigers can be encircled by 15 or fewer goats so it is a "tigers win" if 5 goats are dead. If played correctly it is an easy win for goats. There is an "undo" button to take back a move. Also there is a "hint" button which offers hints for goats. One challenge for goats is to win without using "undo" and "hint". Another challenge is to win with 1, 2, 3, or even 4 goats dead. The other variations are 1 tiger-5 goats, 3 tigers-15 goats. RESTART will restart the game. RESTART can be pressed anytime to restart.
With PCMOVE the computer will make the move either for the tigers or for the goats. A computer move for the tigers will always be a kill move if available, otherwise a random move. A computer move for the goats is to avoid getting killed or a random move, in that order. Users can switch playing for goats or tigers anytime during the game and as often as desired!
UNDO will revert the previous move. Any number of moves can be undone in reverse order.
HINT will provide hints only for goats. There are no hints for tigers. And there are no hints if there are goats yet to be placed on the board or if more than 2 goats are dead. Even then not all board positions result in a guaranteed win for the goats. Also note that PCMOVE for goats do not always make the winning move because winning move, if available, is obtained asynchronously (a network call is made to obtain the winning move as we cannot store all the winning moves in the release bundle due to the large number of board positions.) Once a board position has a winning move for goats, it is now a guaranteed win for the goats, that is, every tiger move has a subsequent move for goats which eventually result in a goats win.
GOATS DEAD will keep score of how many goats are dead. When 5 goats are dead, tigers win.
