Manas is the longest unique epic in the world that contains more than 500500 lines depending on the version told by Manaschis - Manas performers or Manas tellers. Lately this epic has begun to attract the attention of many scholars from different parts of the world. The epic is the mandatory element of the curricula for both schools and universities in Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, it is taught at different levels, mainly relying on the text of the epic by reading and reciting the epic. Being classified as UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage, epic Manas has been one of the challenging works to research, and especially to teach. Because of the length, specific language, archaic vocabulary, and chaotic geographic locales it has been quite difficult for faculty members to teach the epic, engage students in studying and researching it. For students, it is difficult to make connections between times, places, and events that take place in the epic. For faculty members, it is difficult to find material, except the traditional texts, to keep students interested and make the epic more accessible and understandable for students.
Therefore, this application was developed using digital tools for innovative way of studying and teaching the epic through interactive resources. The 15 different concepts of the epic Manas are studied and given in Kyrgyz, Russian and English languages. Students, faculty members and other interested people may use it for studying the epic through different disciplines.
