This is a questionnaire-based game related to courses of the Department of Computer Science, University of Crete. The questionnaires could help students to identify possible gaps in their study and therefore aid their preparation for the written exams. In particular, the questions of each course are divided into levels (or modules). Each level is essentially a questionnaire with a variable number of questions where each question has from 2 to 5 possible answers, of which only one is correct. For success in a level the user should answer correctly at least half of the questions, and only then the user can proceed to the next level. After the completion of a questionnaire, apart from the score, the user can see if the given answers are correct or not. Moreover, for each level the app keeps the history i.e. how many times the user has played it as well as the highest score.
The current version has pre-installed 11 questionnaires of the course HY463 (Information Retrieval Systems) which have been prepared by the instructor of the course.
We hope that this app will be used by more courses or departments, and for this reason the application already offers the possibility (with the option Load Quizzes) to load new questionnaires, each in the form of a zip file (that should be prepared by the corresponding instructor or teaching assistant).
This application was designed and implemented by George Kantilierakis in the context of his diploma thesis at the Computer Science Department, University of Crete, the period 2015-2016 and was supervised by Yannis Tzitzikas.
