The rosary also includes the contemplation of certain passages in the life of Jesus and his mother Mary which, according to the doctrine of the Catholic Church, are of special relevance to the history of salvation and which are called "mysteries."
In 14 special revelations, Jesus offers St. Faustina this new form of piety, which is now spread throughout the world. Just as in the life of the Church the liturgy and piety intimately associate themselves, in the spirituality of the divine mercy proposed by Saint Faustina there is also the encounter of these two dimensions, particularly through the Feast and the Rosary.
