Casual Events was founded in May 2019 as a free alternative to other meetup sites. Because the software is maintained and developed by one person, our organizers and participants don't have to subsidize New York or Silicon Valley corporate salaries to use the platform. It shouldn't cost an arm and a leg just to gather with friends or meet new ones!
