Brain Break is an educational parental control app. It has four main features along with a bevy of bonus features. The four main features include Screen Time, which allows parents to set an allowable amount of screen time, such as 3 hours per day. After this allowable time is used the phone goes into lock mode and the child is no longer able to access recreational apps.There is also the Phone Lock feature which allows the parent to set specific time frames for the phone to lock. This feature differs from the Screen Time feature in that the Screen Time simply sets a limit on daily use whereas the Phone Lock locks the apps according to a schedule the parent sets. For instance, the parent can use the phone lock feature to lock the recreational apps during the hours of 8:00 - 2:00, while the student is in school Mionday - Friday. Another cool feature is the Block App feature wich allows the parent to lock individual apps rather than all recreational apps. The Block App button acts almost like a light switch allowing the parent to lock and unlock individual apps on the child's phone from the app on the parent's phone. Then there's the Brain Break feature which provides a much needed reprieve from mindless screen time. In the Brain Break the parent chooses a "quiz type" and how often a quiz is administered, or how often a Brain Break is taken.
