HCAD’s residence homestead exemption app allows a property owner to submit a residence homestead exemption application by providing images of the front and back of their driver’s license.
It may be helpful to take the photo on a white surface.
HCAD’s property records must match the name and address on the driver’s license. It may take up to 90 days for HCAD to be notified of recent sales.
