Although most real estate agencies in Sweden need queue points for renting an apartment, there are some which don't. Agencies like Akelius and Ikano Bostad don't have queues and instead use a lottery system to assign apartments. For these one just need to submit an application in time. Usually the application window is small i.e from half hour to one day. This app notifies you when any of the housing agencies, in your selected region, post a new apartment on their website so you don't miss a chance to apply. Best of luck with your apartment hunt.
