Initial release. Have fun!
Have you ever wondered what's on the other side of the Earth (or world) if you dig a hole through the center? You probably thought it's China! Now you have the opportunity to find out for real!
You can check the diametrical opposite of your current location, or move the marker anywhere on the map, or search any place in the world to find the antipodes.
The top map presents the place for which you want to find the antipodal point. The bottom map shows the antipodal point for the selected location on the top map.
The antipodes of any place on the Earth is the point on the Earth's surface which is diametrically opposite to it. Two points that are antipodal to each other are connected by a straight line running through the center of the Earth.
Most people believe that if you dig a hole through the center of the Earth, you would come out on the other side right someplace in China. In reality, for most locations, if you dig a tunnel, the antipodal position is in the ocean. To get to China you would have to be digging somewhere in Argentina or Chile.
Have fun finding the other side of your world!
