Ipsos MediaCell is a market research application which measures what you’ve been watching on TV and listening to on the radio. You will become part of shaping the future of media. Instead of filling in time-consuming and awkward paper diaries to record your media habits, the app does the work for you!
At no point will your individual information be ever shared with our clients, only the averages or aggregated data.
If you have been invited to participate, after installing the app, we’ll send you a unique registration code. Simply enter this code into the app, enable the prompted notifications and keep the app running in the background of the phone, then you are good to go!
In return, you’ll be rewarded with e-vouchers, and the longer you comply with our simple rules, the more rewards you can earn.
The Ipsos MediaCell app uses the device microphone to listen out for coded audio or to generate digital audio fingerprints to measure the TV or radio stations you are tuned to; it will never record any audio.
Ipsos, as a global market research company, takes very seriously its responsibilities for the security and confidentiality of the information supplied to us by those who take part in the research we carry out. We take every care to ensure that we comply with our legal, regulatory and ethical obligations, including GDPR. We’ll never transfer, sell or distribute your personal information. All data transferred from the mobile device to our servers is encrypted with RSA public/private key encryption before uploading, as well as being transferred over HTTPS. The app can be uninstalled at any time to stop all data collection immediately.
