- Minor fixes.
In usual daily activities each of us may waste over one hundred litres of water. The excessive consumption of water resources is one of the most serious habits inherited from an unaware environmental-damaging culture. This application was developed by the MEDSEA Foundation within the MARISTANIS Project, co-financed by the MAVA Foundation, dedicated to the protection and sustainable development of the wetlands of Oristano (Sardinia, Italy). They are recognized as environmental areas of international importance and protected by the Ramsar Convention. Climate change - which forces hundreds of millions of people to live with totally inadequate amounts of water - causes problems in water supply even in Sardinia (et especially in the area of Oristano), implying greater groundwater usage and causing negative consequences on water quality, soil and neighbouring coastal areas degradation, including wetlands.
In a few, simple steps that will not affect the pleasure of new experiences, the application will help you learn about useful behaviours for an environmental friendly use of water resources and to appreciate and follow respectful behaviours to preserve the natural environment. Every little gesture helps to protect the places you love. The only rule of travel is : don't come back the way you went.
