Lucky 9 Rules of Play
The game is dealt like a regular Blackjack style structure where two cards are dealt to the player face up and two cards to the dealer; one card face down and another card facing up. Using the Baccarat numbering system, the object of the game is to have a hand higher than the dealer as close to 9 as possible.
Individual cards are scored as follows:
Aces (A) count as 1.
Tens and face cards count as 0 (zero).
2 through 9 are counted according to their numerical value.
If the total of the cards is a two digit number, the last digit counts as the value of the hand (For Example: 8 + 5 = 13, the hand value is 3).
Lucky 9 are a two-card total of 9 without any tens or face cards (Examples: Ace and 8, 2 and 7, 3 and 6, 4 and 5) and all pays 3 to 2.
- Lucky 9 ties with a Natural 9 (a 9 plus any tens or face cards).
- Lucky 9 win against all three-card totals of 9.
- A winning Natural 9 pays even money and ties with any hand totals of 9.
