time machine theory
Time Machine Theory.
Einstein's theory of special relativity says that time slows down or speeds up depending on how fast you move relative to something else. Approaching the speed of light, a person inside a spaceship would age much slower than his twin at home. Also, under Einstein's theory of general relativity, gravity can bend time.
What we are going to discuss in this Guide is the concept of traveling through time using an ancient ritual. Sound amazing? Well, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise when the basic knowledge is learned. The question to ask is, "What is time?" Just like the concept of electricity, we know how to use it, we understand its laws and principles, but, to this day we don't know what it is.
Time travel is the concept of movement between certain points in time, analogous to movement between different points in space by an object or a person, typically using a hypothetical device known as a time machine, in the form of a vehicle or of a portal connecting distant points in spacetime, either to an earlier time or to a later time, without the need for the time-traveling body to experience the intervening period in the usual sense.
