The Spartak team (Russian: "Спартак") is a Russian football club based in Moscow.
One of the great teams of the former Soviet championship, he is the second most successful with twelve championships won, a unit of Dynamo Kiev, and also wins ten national cups, competition where he is this time the most successful. This domination continued thereafter in the 1990s after the fall of the Soviet Union and the establishment of the Russian championship, of which Spartak won nine of the first ten editions. He then experienced a period of trough which ended with a tenth league title at the end of the 2016-2017 season.
Spartak are among the most popular teams in Russia, and have often sported the image of “the people's team”. Its main colors are red and white and it has been evolving since 2014.
