説明:

When the pregnancy test comes back positive, you've begun a life-altering journey. As the baby grows and changes through each stage of pregnancy, you go through changes, too: in your body, emotions, and lifestyle. You need information to answer your questions and help you make good decisions for a healthy baby and a healthy you.

The Odds of Getting Pregnant
It's a common question: What are the odds that I'll get pregnant this month? For most couples trying to conceive, the odds that a woman will become pregnant are 15% to 25% in any particular month.

But there are some things that can affect your chance of getting pregnant:

• Age. After you reach age 30, your chances of conceiving in any given month fall, and they decrease as you age, dropping steeply in your 40s.
• Irregular menstrual cycles. Having an irregular cycle makes it tricky to calculate when you're ovulating, thus making it difficult to know the ideal time to have sex.
• Frequency of sex. The less often you have sex, the less likely you are to get pregnant.
• Amount of time you've been trying to conceive. If you haven't gotten pregnant after one year of trying to conceive, your chances of becoming pregnant may be lower. Talk to your doctor about tests for female and male infertility.
• Illnesses or medical conditions can affect pregnancy.

Taking proper care after pregnancy can never ever be overstated. In the postpartum period, which begins immediately after shipment and ends with your body responding to your pre-pregnancy state, moms experience a variety of feelings, adjustments, duties, and so on. In the frantic speed of brand-new life, they even forget to take correct care of themselves.

Your Prepregnancy Checklist: You may not be pregnant yet, but there's plenty you can do now to make yourself as healthy as possible for a growing baby. Consider this your preconception to-do list.

1. Make an appointment with your doctor

True, you'll be seeing her plenty after you conceive, but it's a good idea to book a visit ahead of time, too, even if you've been pregnant before.

2. Check your gums

There's a connection between good oral health and a healthy pregnancy. Gum disease is linked to early birth and low birth weight.

3. Quit smoking and drinking.

You may already know that tobacco and alcohol during pregnancy are never OK.

4. Cut back on caffeine.

Drinking more than two cups of coffee or five cans of soda a day (about 250 milligrams of caffeine) could make it harder for you to conceive and raise the chances that you'll miscarry.

5. Eat smart.

There's no better time to cut out junk food and all of its empty calories. Make sure you're getting plenty of fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean protein every day.

What to Expect: Changes in Your Body
Pregnancy is different for every woman. Some women glow with good health and vitality during those first three months; others feel absolutely miserable. Here are some of the changes you might experience, what they mean, and which signs warrant a call to your doctor.

Second Trimester

The second trimester is, for many women, the easiest three months of pregnancy. Take the time now, while you're feeling better and your energy is up, to start planning for your baby's arrival.

Third Trimester
You've only got a few more weeks to go, but this part of your pregnancy can be the most challenging.
