how become prayers warriars
All people love this verse from Luke 5:16 because it shows that just like you and all people, Jesus needed a break from the demands of his busy life to recharge his batteries and spend time with his Heavenly Father.
Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us, and looking ahead to 2020, I believe it has never been more important for God’s people to be on their knees. But knowing how to pray is not always easy. Jesus’ disciples felt the same confusion. They were familiar with the oft-repeated prayers of the Torah. But Jesus prayed with a kind of authority and power they had never seen before — as though God was listening! So when they came to Jesus, as told in Matthew 6, they didn’t say, “Teach us another prayer.”
The life of the individual believer, his personal salvation, and personal Christian graces have their being, bloom, and fruitage in prayer." As a chaplain in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War, Bounds initiated weekly prayer sessions to strengthen the spiritual state of his local area. His wisdom has impacted Christ-seekers for decades, and his words are as powerful now as they were in the 1800s. Bounds remind us that throughout Biblical history, many of God's greatest movements were incited by the prayers of God's people. According to Bounds, prayer must be a priority. Other Christian duties, such as sacred works, communion, and church activities, cannot and should not take the place of prayer.
Although we could list hundreds of powerful prayers, we plucked out a few of our favorites to show just how filled to the brim the Bible is with ways to call upon our great God. We all face extraordinary circumstances from time to time. We have been advised to handle these times by seeking God in prayer and fasting, to be especially attentive to his words, and the working of the Holy Spirit.
We all fail to understand the incredible honor and resource that is available to us in prayer. God, the Creator of the cosmos, the Sustainer of all life and matter, the writer of all history and future events, invites you to come and share your heart with Him. How insane is that?!? You! Little, old you!!! What would you say to Him? What would you share? What would you ask of Him?
