Strings (notes) are indicated by Latin letters, which in the European tradition are designated notes. They are familiar to all guitarists as chord notation. The strings and notes correspond to each other as follows:

String 3 - G. the Classic symbols of Sol.
4 string - d. Classical designation-D.
5 string - a. Classical designation-A.
