श्रीमद भगवद गीता का दिव्य ज्ञान महाभारत के युद्ध में भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने अपने सखा कुंती पुत्र अर्जुन को सुनाई थी जब अर्जुन महाभारत के युद्ध में विचलित होकर अपने कर्तव्य से विमुख हो रहे थे।
धर्म ग्रंथों के आंकड़े अनुसार भागवत गीता का उपदेश भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने अर्जुन को आज से लगभग 7000 साल पहले सुनाई थी। और इसकी खासियत यह है किया यह दिव्य ज्ञान आज के दिन में भी उतना ही प्रासंगिक और उपयोगी है। और तब तक प्रसांगिक रहेगा जब तक इस धरती पर मानव जीवन का अस्तित्व रहेगा।
श्रीमद भगवद गीता में कुल 700 श्लोक हैं। जिसमें से भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने 574 श्लोक, अर्जुन ने 85 श्लोक, धृतराष्ट्र ने 1 श्लोक, तथा संजय ने 40 श्लोक कहे हैं।
श्रीमद भगवद गीता का ज्ञान दिव्य है,और अनमोल भी। इसलिए हम सभी को श्रीमद भगवद गीता को पढ़ना चाहिए और उसमें बताए गए उपदेशों को अपने जीवन में पालन करना चाहिए।
