Since South Yorkshire PTE stopped printing timetable leaflets it has become harder to find out when your bus goes and where.
GoTimetable Sheffield makes that task much easier. Think of it as a timetable book on your mobile, laptop, tablet; in fact any reasonably modern computer-type device. It comes in two versions:-
For Android devices it can be obtained FREE from Google Play Store and downloaded as a complete package. Once installed you do not even need a signal! For other devices, the same information in the same style can be found on the web and FREE at GoTimetable.com.
A selection of the facilities on offer is:-
ALL BUS & TRAM JOURNEYS in Sheffield - no need to work out "and then every 6 minutes".

GPS Location Information
GoTimetable can now use the GPS location of your device.
To enable GoTimetable to use the location of your device choose "Location" in the drop down menu (three vertical dots).
When location is enabled you will see a progress bar at the top of GoTimetable at all times, the "Location" menu item will also have a tick next to it.
Enable location on the list of services and you will be presented with the nearest stop name and the option to see a list of stop names in order of distance, closest first. Open the list and select a stop name of interest to search for services.
Enable location on the timetable screen and next to each stop name will be a coloured vertical bar indicating stop distance to your device location.
- Green means the stop is within walking distance.
- Orange means the stop might be more than a simple stroll.
- Red means the stop is probably worth catching a bus to.
- No colour means the stop isn't nearby.
