Sunan Nisai is an Islamic Hadith (Hadees) book. The book is compiled by Imam Ahmad an-Nisai (rahimahullah) and he was died in 303?. It contains roughly 5760 hadith (with repetitions) in 57 chapters. It contains both Hadees e Qudsi and Hadees e Nabvi.
Sunan Nisai Chapter 1 contains Hadees related to cleanliness. In chapter 2 Imam Nisai has quoted birth related Hadees. Importance of wudu has been discussed in chapter 3.Sunan Nisai Chapter 5 contains 22 Hadith related to water. Chapter 8, 9, 10 and 11 are merely based on importance and issues related to prayers Adhan and mosque. Chapter 14, 19 and 22 contain Hadees on Namaz (prayers).Sunan Al Nisai Chapter 25 contains Hadees related to funeral. Chapter 26 is about fasting. Hadees on zakat, Hajj and jihad are part of chapter 26, 27, 28 and 29. Chapter 30 and chapter 32 contain Hadees on Talaq/divorce and marriage. Chapter 57 contains Hadees on drinks.
Sunan Nisai is also known as Sunan As-sughra. The collection is regarded as third in strength of the six major Hadith collections.
The Book of Sunan An Nasai is one of the six major hadith books which are considered to be the 3rd most authentic after the Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim is called Shahihain books it is a summary book that contains about 5270 traditions chosen from the real work, Al-Sunan Al-Kubra.
