Lite-Radio originated in 1997 as one of the first Internet Radio Stations in South Carolina. Lite-Radio was a proud affiliate of Live365.com. Lite-Radio has became one of the most popular online radio stations and been featured locally in South Carolina on (NBC) WYFF-TV4, (CBS) WSPA-TV7, and The Greenville News. Lite-Radio format concentrates on playing music from the 70’s, 80’s and hits from the 90’s. Lite-Radio is branded and service marked “The Carolina’s Greatest Hits”.
Lite-Radio was asked to broadcast nationally syndicated Mike Gallagher’s “Anti-Dixie Chicks Concert” Live from Spartanburg’s Memorial Auditorium on May 1st, 2003. The concert was a huge success and featured Spartanburg’s own The Marshall Tucker Band, and many other bands. During the live concert Lite-Radio had over 850 steaming listeners and was known nationally after this event. Lite-Radio is based in the Greenville, South Carolina, in the 59th largest radio market according to Nielsen Ratings.
