On September 16th, 1995 the United States Postal Service issued a sheet of ten 32¢ stamps paying homage to the giants of jazz music. This issue was part of the American Music Series.
The ten different stamps featured images of some of the major individuals of the United States music industry. This application includes both a picture and a biography of each of these men. Also included are three sample song tracks performed by each of these musicians. Included are Coleman Hawkins, Louis Armstrong, James P. Johnson, Jelly Roll Morton, Charlie Parker, Eubie Blake, Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane and Errol Garner.
