Japji Sahib Path consists of 1 Mool Mantra and a final Salok. There are 38 hymns that appear at the beginning of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Japji Sahib Path was composed by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the faith.

Japji Sahib is believed to be the first composition of Guru Nanak, and is now considered the comprehensive essence of the Sikh faith. It is regarded amongst the most important Bani or 'set of verses' by the Sikhs, as it is the first Bani in Nitnem.
 
Notable is Nanak's discourse on 'what is true worship' and what is the nature of God'. In Japji Sahib, it is stated that God is indescribable; the only true form of worship is the worship of Nam.
 
Japji is a universal song of God composed by Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of the Sikh faith. Japji Sahib, appears at the very beginning of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Japji Sahib is recited by Sikhs every morning.
