From February 1998 to May 2000, the U. S. Postal Service issued ten sheets of stamps commemorating the important events of each of the decades in the 20th century. This series of stamps were identified as “Celebrate the Century” and each featured 15 different historical happenings.
The second in the series covering events from 1910 to 1919 featured the following events:
