Launched 23 years ago, the Malaysian edition of The Peak caters to the cream of Corporate Malaysia and its elite HNWI readers. A monthly title focused on success stories and the finer things in life, The Peak brings its readers the best of the world of the luxury, from high horology to the finest grands crus, to exclusive features and profiles on movers and shakers in Malaysia and the region.

April 2014: THE PEAK IN APRIL is a fashion-packed issue on how to dress smart, work better and turn your business into a corporate superstar.

February 2014: THE PEAK IN FEBRUARY explores route one to success with Goh Shea Lih, Philip Morris Malaysia and Singapore’s new Managing Director. For this jet-setting corporate superstar, loyalty and tenure has reaped great results. Her extensive resume, all of which were burnished by two decades under Philip Morris, is the result of a fearlessness for new challenges – tackling both the Chinese and Indonesian tobacco market before coming back to grow the business farther. In this month where love is in the air, we talk to several couples in business and do-gooderism – be it the Sitts of Inmagine, the Ebsteins of Chronoswiss and the good doctors Rena and Arun Sethi – each of whom have shown that two is better than one.

January 2014: THE PEAK IN JANUARY takes on a refreshed, contemporary look and explores the optimism of youth in its Next Gen issue. Through the eyes of Texchem-Pack’s Dr Yuma Konishi, Westports’s Ruben Gnanalingam and Dorsett Hospitality International’s Winnie Chiu, we see an ideal blend of youth’s irrepressibility and the canny acumen of their established paters. In the same issue, we talk to other young entrepreneurs in Corporate Malaysia, each of whom is striving for success in their own field.

December 2013: THE PEAK IN DECEMBER doffs its hat to the pioneering enterprise of three generations of Yeohs. Starting with its patriarch Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay, his eldest son Tan Sri Francis Yeoh – the current Managing Director of YTL Corporation, and his son Joseph Yeoh, the trio have looked towards China as the next market for expansion. Most surprisingly, the means in which they are doing so is through the establishment of a projected 100 Hutongs – that popular dining concept of hawker fare popularised by YTL Corp in Malaysia. It is, as was observed by the family, a poetic circle of the Chinese diaspora reaffirming the historical and cultural ties between the two countries.

November 2013: THE PEAK IN NOVEMBER examines Malaysia’s leap into a digital economy, through the eyes of Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, the CEO of Multimedia Development Corporation who has been responsible for back-to-back record years in 2011 and 2012. He details the developments in the MSC Malaysia that will elevate the country into the future, one which will share a slice of a USD17 trillion digital economy pie in terms of global trade. In the same issue, The Peak also takes a walk on the other side of the fence, talking to people who have bravely leapt beyond their comfort zone to an entirely different working culture, setting out on a different career trajectory and making life work for them.

October 2013: THE PEAK IN OCTOBER looks to the future with Datuk Tan Say Jim, Group MD and CEO of IRIS Corporation, a home-grown technology pioneer. The many wonderful innovations by IRIS is enhancing Malaysia from bottom up, addressing issues of poverty, housing, food production, environment and even energy. In the process, it is putting Malaysia on the world map as a place where sustainable living is no longer a utopian dream, but a real-life practice. Within this issue, we also talk to the Malaysian heads of huge MNCs whose global reach will shape the future in which we live.sph, magazine
