To monitor the attendance of various offices on real time basis a
mobile application Upasthiti is designed and developed by the NIC
team. Now the office head have to send daily the number of
employees present, number of employee on leave, number of
employee absent with remarks and attendance register photo by
using this mobile application on time.
Upasthiti mobile application is apparently a tool of warning and deterrence. This mobile
application has provided importance of time, date and place stamping and monitoring on
daily basis. The various reports are available in public domain and can be viewed at
http://online.bih.nic.in/upasthiti/.
Impact – The deterrent impact is equally on officers and staffs. The number of employee
present and absents are documented outside the office and very senior level surveillance
going on daily basis. The unwarranted movement and habitual delays are now documented
and punishments are coming on evidence. Hence its improved the culture of office working.
