Kürzliche Änderungen:

- Fix several bugs
- Add calculation of total body surface area (TBSA) involved in burn patient and Abbreviated Burn Severity Index (ABSI) scoring

Beschreibung:

"Burns Fluid Calculator: Fluid, TBSA, ABSI score" is a mobile app designed to determine the fluid needed during resuscitation and maintenance when treating burn patients. The most commonly used resuscitation formula is the pure crystalloid Parkland formula. In this "Burns Fluid Calculator: Fluid, TBSA, ABSI score", we also add a feature to calculate the total body surface area (TBSA) involved in burn patient with Wallace Rule-of-Nines formula. This "Burns Fluid Calculator: Fluid, TBSA, ABSI score" app also able to calculate Abbreviated Burn Severity Index (ABSI) score to predict prognosis of burn patient.

There are several features of "Burns Fluid Calculator: Fluid, TBSA, ABSI score", namely:
🔸 Simple and very easy to use burn app.
🔸 Precise calculation of IV fluid for burn patient with Parkland or Baxter formula.
🔸 Calculation of total body surface area (TBSA) involved in burn patient with Wallace Rule-of-Nines
🔸 Prognosis prediction of burn patient with Abbreviated Burn Severity Index (ABSI) score
🔸 Useful when treating burn patient in emergency setting.
🔸 It is totally free. Download now!

In the "Burns Fluid Calculator: Fluid, TBSA, ABSI score" we also takes account the onset when receiving resuscitation and total fluid that were previously given. We also calculate the maintenance fluid rate which includes basal requirements and evaporative losses. Basal requirements is based on body surface area and calculated with Mosteller formula at this app. While basal requirements in children is based on Holiday Segar formula. Evaporative losses is also based on the total burned surface area.

It is well established that fluid management is fundamental when treating burn patients during the immediate post-trauma period. The aim of resuscitation is to restore and maintain adequate oxygen delivery to all tissues of the body following the loss of sodium, water and proteins. Fluid loss starts immediately after the burn occurs, because heat damage increases the permeability of the capillaries, which means that plasma is able to leak out of the blood circulation.

Disclaimer: All calculations must be re-checked and should not be used alone to guide patient care, nor should they substitute for clinical judgment. Calculations in this "Burns Fluid Calculator: Fluid, TBSA, ABSI score" app might be different with your local practice. Consult to expert doctor whenever necessary.
